Quality Leaders as Influencers: Practical Tactics to Build Engagement & Shared Ownership

November 18 | 2:00 PM EST

Quality leaders in rural hospitals and clinics often support improvement across the entire organization—even when their own department may consist of just one person. How can they engage busy leaders, make quality work meaningful, and help others take ownership?

This practical session offers concrete tactics and simple tools to strengthen collaboration, lead more useful meetings, and turn quality priorities into shared action. Participants will leave with approaches they can use immediately to expand their influence and impact.

Learning Objectives:

  • Apply a “data buddy” tactic to help leaders and improvement teams interpret data, identify opportunities, and use findings to guide improvement.
  • Deploy an organization-wide employee-driven team along with a shared improvement method and tools that can build alignment, participation and ownership for change.
  • Use support department rounding, celebration and recognition to strengthen relationships, understand support needs, and recognize contributions to improvement.

Who Should Attend:

  • Quality leaders and professionals
  • Quality improvement staff
  • Clinical and operational leaders
  • Any rural healthcare professional who supports quality improvement
